The PH08xxCNL series is our most cost effective line of planar transformers to date. The PH08xxCNL series is an evolution of the planar technology to better suit today’s customer needs for performance, form factor, and price.

This new PH08xxCNL series offers up to 160W in a 9.6mm tall package, benefiting our customers with lower direct current resistance (DCR), higher power efficiency, and small form factor. The new PH08XXCNL series also takes advantage of many of our recent automation advances, which have all led to our ability to offer the most efficient AND cost competitive planar transformer product on the market.

PH08xxCNL Mechanicals & Schematics

To determine if the transformer is suitable for your application, it is necessary to ensure that the temperature rise of the component (ambient plus temperature rise) not exceed its operating temperature. To determine the approximate temperature rise of the transformer, refer to the Core Loss vs. Flux Density and Temperture Rise vs. Power Dissipation graphs below.
